Harbourview Taps Patrick Morin to Lead Capital Formation

The music and media investor is adding a veteran dealmaker as it pushes past $4 billion in assets and keeps buying catalogs.

HarbourView Equity Partners has named Patrick Morin its Managing Director of Business Development, a hire aimed squarely at capital formation and investor partnerships as the firm keeps scaling its music and media investment platform.

A capital markets hire for a catalog buyer on the move

In the new role, Morin will lead HarbourView’s business development efforts and focus on building relationships with investors. The appointment comes as the firm continues to expand its footprint across music, sports, media and entertainment.

HarbourView said it had approximately $3.88 billion in regulatory assets under management as of December 31, 2025. MBW reported last week that the firm is on track to surpass $4 billion in assets under management.

Morin brings more than 25 years in the investment business. He joins from Cambridge Associates, where he was a Managing Director overseeing Healthcare and Regional Endowments & Foundations Client Solutions.

Morin brings a long investment background

Before Cambridge Associates, Morin held roles in investment banking, wealth advisory and alternative investments at Citi, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. HarbourView said he has worked with high-net-worth and family office clients, overseen commission-based sales and trading businesses, and led growth and investor relations efforts at alternative investment firms focused on credit, merger arbitrage and event-driven investing.

He holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation and has held Series 7, 66, 65 and 3 securities licenses. Morin has also volunteered as an investment committee member for the Cary Memorial Library, the Historic Monroe Cemetery and the Lexington Public Trusts in Lexington, Massachusetts, and serves on the Economic and Industrial Commission for the town of Stow, Massachusetts.

HarbourView keeps stacking catalog deals

The hire lands during a busy stretch for HarbourView, which has continued to close catalog transactions across the music business. The firm acquired producer royalties from David Kershenbaum in a deal announced September 3, including his share of Tracy Chapman’s Fast Car.

In June, HarbourView acquired the publisher’s share of select songs from Wolf Cousins, the collective founded by Max Martin and Shellback. That catalog includes songs recorded by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and The Weeknd. In March 2026, the Quincy Jones estate sold select music and non-music assets to the firm.

Other recent acquisitions include a majority stake in Slipknot’s catalog in November 2025, T-Pain’s publishing catalog and select masters in February 2025, and Stefflon Don’s full pre-2024 catalog, spanning publishing and recorded music rights. HarbourView has also picked up select publishing and recorded music assets from Noel Zancanella, Full Force and Jeremih.

The firm’s portfolio also includes catalogs and rights tied to Kelly Clarkson, Luis Fonsi, Christine McVie, Pat Benatar, Neil Giraldo, Nelly, Hit-Boy and Kane Brown.

Why the hire matters now

HarbourView has funded its buying spree with debt financing, including a total of $1 billion across two KKR-led private securitizations in March 2024 and June 2025. Founded in 2021 by Sherrese Clarke and headquartered in Newark, New Jersey, the firm says it has amassed more than 70 music catalogs, representing around 41,000 songs across master recordings and publishing income streams.

Clarke said she has known Morin for more than 30 years and praised him as a trusted leader. She said his experience in capital formation, portfolio management and investment execution will help the firm scale further.

HarbourView has also invested beyond music rights, including a $30 million investment round in animation studio Lion Forge Entertainment in September 2025. Morin’s arrival gives the firm another senior hand as it keeps building out the capital base behind that strategy.
